Hi Guys!

Been very busy (and ill) for the last few weeks but have finally finished my orders! Hoorah!

2 girls name banners using some Sass and Belle vintage lace, ribbon, buttons and felt from
Sew Sweet  :)

Boys custom made Dinosaur banner in 'Camo' colours

Using the new Berties Bows 'Stiched with <3' ribbon, also available from Sew Sweet
And a couple of bright and fun hello kitty hair bows to go on their new Hair clip holders :)

I really do love making this things but especially the Bows, maybe thats due to my obsession with Ribbon!

Enjoy your weekends!

Hedgehogs and Mice...

Last week I made a felt name banner for my nephews newly decorated room, he is obsessed with cars, and with fresh painted white walls it was calling out for some colour! I got sketching (it is my name you know ;) and soon had a VERY basic car design. I hadn't seen his bedroom range which his mummy had got him from IKEA but I'm told it matches perfectly....so here it is...

For a first attempt, I was quite pleased, and my sister-in-law certainly was....so much so that she went and posted it straight away on her facebook...and within 2 days I had 8 requests to make name banners in various dinosaur, train, hedgehog and mice designs! I was overwhelmed with the trust people put into you from 1 item....and it was my very first one. So I immediately set to work when I had a request from a friend of my sis-in-laws to make a name banner based on a Mama's and Papa's nursery range she had in her sons bedroom. When I googled it, here is what I found...

There were a few other pictures I found of a Hedgehog character too, So I drew a picture of that and used the mouse also and got cutting and sewing.....a few days later...this was the finished article...

What do you think? I must admit, I was quite sad giving this one away, I'd spent alot of time on it and had become quite attached to the little guys :(  But on the plus side, a little boy will be smiling at them now instead of me :)

Scrummy Easter Displays

Evening all!

Seems a while since I've been on here, I've been finding lots of lovely pages on Facebook and find any time I'm on the net this is where I head to first...so I apologise for my leave of absence :'(

Anyhow, last week I went to my local(ish) garden centre as they have some fab ribbons there and I stunbled upon the most amazing Gisella Graham Easter display! Full of spring colours, colourful eggs, baskets, bunnies, chickens....you name it they had it...it was a real feast for the eyes :) They also had some amazing Gisella Graham grosgrain ribbon for sale, all in springtime pastels and polka dots....so of course I had to buy me some :)

I still can't decide my favourite, and at 99p-£1.25 for a 3 meter reel...i'm already wanting to head back there!

If you wanted to pop along and see for yourself the garden centre in question is Longacres in Bagshot, Surrey....its well worth a look.

On another note.....my husband caved in and went and bought me some much needed storage for all my extending crafty bits the other day, I've had lots of fun organising it all.

I keep walking out to my landing to admire it lol.....sad life I know.....whoops!

I have some other pics of recent makes but I'll save them for another day :)

Enjoy your Saturday Evenings bloggers....I'm off to get ready for a family meal...yummmm
